Cameron Lake
Welcome to Cameron Lake Fishing Lodges !
We are situated on beautiful Cameron Lake, 23 kilometres by way of water from Oba, Ontario. Remote and in the midst of unspoiled Northern Ontario wilderness, Cameron Lake is about 550 kilometres North of Sault Ste-Marie and approximately 120 kilometres south of Hearst. Formally known as McBride’s Fishing Camp - Cameron Lake has been a popular fishing destination since the early 1950’s, filled with walleye, northern pike, perch and whitefish. Since March 2023, Cameron Lake Fishing lodges has expanded and will now also be offering Black Bear and Moose hunting packages.
Acquired in 2009, our small family owned and operated business focuses on offering a memorable experience for all of our guests, and provide them most of the amenities of home. We have several comfortable, clean, fully furnished, rustic cabins overlooking a picturesque Cameron Lake.
Away from heavy traffic, and the chaos of our everyday lives, peace and tranquility are guaranteed. Let the sounds of nature induce relaxation and enjoy our wonderful sandy beaches and well-maintained spacious grounds.
Whether you are looking to fish, hunt or just get away, Cameron Lake is the place to be. Don’t forget your camera as you are assured to see plenty of wildlife, a beautiful sunset or catch a glimpse of the spectacular northern lights.
Come experience the great outdoors!
Your hosts
Angela & Michel Chouinard
Born and raised in Northern Ontario, we were fortunate to grow up with parents who were passionate about the outdoors. Hunting, fishing, and spending time in nature were part of everyday life, instilling in us a deep appreciation for the wilderness from a young age. Starting this adventure felt like a natural next step—one that not only allows us to share these experiences with our own children, but also with guests like you.
As a family, we’re excited to welcome you to our camp, where you can make your own cherished memories doing what you love, surrounded by the natural beauty that makes Northern Ontario so special.
We’re happy to welcome your four-legged family members as well! We simply ask that you clean up after your dog and take responsibility for any damage they may cause to the cabins or grounds. Please also be mindful of other guests when deciding whether to bring your pet.
We look forward to having you with us!
